| The name dates
back to the Scotchman, William Murdoch, who established the first restaurant in
the buildings more than 150 years ago. And the pub has, in truth, found its inspiration
in the style of the English and Scottish pubs, but the British inspiration has
been combined with truly Danish notions like cosiness and a somewhat lighter interior
decoration. Besides the splendid beer, the fine whisky and other excellent beverages,
Murdoch's Books & Ale also serves a wonderful lunch and a large number of
light meals and sandwiches all day. Murdoch's is the perfect setting for a quiet
lunch or for a fun night on the town. Here and there you will find copies of books
in the pub, but it is very unlikely that you will find the time to read any of
them! |
